Sammy Hudson shares his personal journey of learning to rely on God's strength, timing, and provision to develop The Refuge in eastern North Carolina. He quickly captivates us by sharing the time he spends with his unlikely friends at "The Tree", and then draws us in even deeper as he allows us to see the overflow of his heart. Sammy currently serves as the Executive Director/ Founder of The Refuge, a non-profit Christ-centered camp in Greene County, North Carolina. His passion is to teach the Bible to teens and share the hope of Christ. Sammy is a singer/songwriter, recording artist, worship leader, pastor, and a passionate communicator of the gospel. Sammy and His wife Desta have been married 25 years and together raised three beautiful girls. A graduate of Methodist University, he earned a degree in business administration while also playing on two national championship golf teams, where he was named to the 1994 All-America golf team.
