He has also written for almost every major magazine and is the author of nine previous books, including Organized Crimes, Make-Believe Presidents, and with Garry Trudeau, The Fireside Watergate. Nicholas Von Hoffman died from kidney failure on February 1, 2018 at the age of eighty-eight.
