Description

In an emergency medical situation, small decisions can make a big difference, especially in the lag time between the onset of the emergency and the arrival of medical professionals. Knowing which decisions to make under pressure can be immensely challenging, so having a portable and easy-to-use reference on hand is invaluable. This practical guide clearly lays out how to assess and assist the patient, priorities for staying calm and in control of a situation, and necessary actions like ensuring additional help is on the way and assessing the safety of the rescue environment. Intended for those taking part in NASAR-instructor-led training and for SARTECH candidates as they prepare for their certification evaluations, this laminated, 12-panel folding pocket guide is an essential reference tool for any SAR responder who wants to be as prepared as possible for common medical emergencies. Profits from the sale of this resource support ongoing training by NASAR. Made in the USA.
