John Percival, DDS, MSc, has been a practicing dentist for nearly forty years. After receiving his undergraduate and dental degrees at Ohio State University, he continued on as a postdoctoral researcher in biophysics at the same institution. He later earned an MSc. in epidemiology from Erasmus University, Rotterdam. His research was an essential foundation for his outlook on dental care and his holistic approach to his practice. In the 1980s, he cofounded and was CEO of Imagex Inc. The company created one of the very first prototypes for filmless, digital radiographic devices, currently used in dentistry and medicine. An ongoing proponent of holistic dentistry and above-standard care, John lived in Colorado for many years before moving to Maine, where he currently lives with his partner, Elizabeth Czhubirka.
