Aminatta Forna is the author of the novels AncestorStones, The Memory of Love, and The Hired Man, aswell as the memoir The Devil That Danced on the Water. Forna'sbooks have been translated into twenty languages. Her essays have appearedin Granta, The Guardian, The Observer, and Vogue. She is currently the Director of the Lannan Center forPoetics and Social Practice at Georgetown University.
