Description
A new collection of interconnected short stories in which a writer grapples with his wife’s death.
Through vignettes that zip forward and backward in time, Dixon weaves together a complex portrait of the man’s life, from the moments of his marriage to his later days where, struggling with his loss, he fumbles to find clarity and certainty in his writing. Through his characteristic restrained prose, Dixon explores what it means to be human, with themes of love, loss, and companionship.
About the Author
Stephen Dixon was born in 1936 in New York City. He is a former professor of creative writing at Johns Hopkins University and still hammers out his fiction on a vintage typewriter. He is also a two time National Book Award nominee — for his novels Frog and Interstate.
